The annual Implementers Meeting began in 2006 as a way to bring members of the community together during a dedicated amount of time to collaborate, share implementation experiences, and find ways to improve OpenMRS.

- People new to OpenMRS who want to connect to others using the platform around the world
- Experienced OpenMRS implementers who want to share their experiences and learn from others
- OpenMRS platform developers – anyone building systems to integrate with or extend OpenMRS
- Developers of related health and healthcare application software

Why you should attend
This meeting provides an opportunity for developers to collaborate and improve their technical skills in OpenMRS, implementers to share their best practices from implementations, and users to propose and prioritize their top features in future releases of the software. As we introduced last year, the 2013 Implementers Meeting may also include visits to OpenMRS implementation sites along with a discussion afterward for participants to share their experience and suggestions.
Propose session ideas
It’s an unconference, but that doesn’t mean you can’t start thinking about ideas today. Do you want to lead a session? Do you have an idea for what you’d like to see, even if you can’t lead the session?

Hackathon
Our annual pre-conference hackathon for current and new OpenMRS contributors will once again take place the 2 days before the event, 6-7 October 2013, also at the Noble Conference Center in Eldoret. The hackathon is free to attend. More information about the hackathon will be posted here.

Registration fees
- “Early Bird” registration before 1 August: USD $300
- Regular registration (1 August – 15 September): USD $350
- Late registration (16 September – 7 October): USD $400
Online registration will open soon.
Accommodations
Various types of rooms are available at a nightly rate both on-site at the Noble Conference Centre as well as at nearby hotels. Details will be posted here. Accommodation is not included in conference registration fees.
Financial assistance
We anticipate a limited number of scholarships for assistance in attending the conference to be made available again this year. Scholarship applications may be submitted through 30 June 2013. Please note, completion of a scholarship application does not register you for the conference.
